Countdown and preparations…
Two days before taking off to Milan and my blog is UP! It’s not quite running yet… sort of learning to walk from a crawl, but I am excited to get it off the starting block. There are still last minute things to tend to as usual, but the travel itineraries have been made, the appointments confirmed and worksheets and analyses prepared. I will go into more of what that all entails in the next day or two to shed some light on how a buying trip like this is readied. Details! Details! And then there is the last chore…. packing. Perhaps always the biggest dilemma.
I am a novice at this blogging business, but not a novice at all when it comes to the domain of a buyer’s job. I will also provide more information about my background in the next post as well. Mainly, I wanted to put up a first post to see how it would look and see if I was adequately proficient. In the days to follow in Milan and Paris, we’ll travel to fashion shows and showrooms and back to this laptop where all the orders are written and sent off to their respective destinations and we’ve intiated the first steps in getting merchandise in the stores next Spring 2010….
I am very, very grateful to my friend and advisor David Bonnamour for his time and his encouragement to get me going on this new adventure, my blog. We’ll see where I can go with it and you can discover my dedication to fashion along the way.
